Head of Chair already met with New First Lady in 2014

Professor Ursula Renold met with the New First Lady, Jill Biden in 2014. Jill Biden, at that time still a Second Lady, was mainly interested in vocational training in Switzerland. The pedagogue and English teacher at a community college, Jill Biden gave a lecture at the first international vocational training congress in Switzerland. Ursula Renold recalls how Jill Biden was disturbed by the inequality of opportunity in the USA and was enthusiastic about the dual vocational training system in Switzerland.

And now, Ursula Renold states her happines that new US First Lady Jill Biden has interest in improving the US dual education. She shares her motivation and pride about scholars and reform practitioners, donors, policy makers from Colorado, Indiana, California, NYC, Washington DC, US Funder are joining the CEMETS Institute at ETH Zurich to improve the US education system.
