In one of our latest studies, we analyze the long-term effects of general versus vocational upper-secondary education in Egypt.

The results show that general education has a positive to neutral long-term impact on labor market outcomes compared to vocational education. This finding differs from many papers that suggest that vocational education improves labor market outcomes more than general education does. Hence, the effects of general versus vocational education may differ in developing countries. Read more in our article published in the Journal of Development Economics
